The Phat Moog Bass Ableton Live Pack Volume 1 is a collection of 40 big bass Instrument Racks. Each instrument is made from samples of the Moog Sub Phatty, an analog synthesizer designed to create huge bass sounds.

In the world of low frequencies, there’s really no comparison to a Moog. It is capable of an incredibly wide range of bass sounds, with a character you can’t find anywhere else. Listen to demos of the Ableton Live Instruments.
Many hours were spent programming a large collection of patches on the Moog and sampling them into Ableton Live. I captured everything from the incredibly rich raw waveforms to lively, exciting and evolving patches. To really bring the instrument to life, I programmed MIDI clips in Ableton Live with multiple layers of automation that modulating many different parameters of the Sub Phatty. To accomplish this in the real world, you’d need a bunch of your friends to wildly turn the knobs as you played.
Huge bass sounds and the ability to customize the sound to your tracks
I then sampled the synthesizer and did some further manipulation using Ableton Live’s Sampler. The Macro Controls allow you to control the amplitude’s Attack, Sustain, Decay and Release, so you can shape the sound over time. You can also do a wide range of filtering and experiment with glide functions to tailor the sound to fit your music.
In order to give the instruments a production-ready quality, I’ve added some multiband effects that can be adjusted as needed. So as soon as you drop these instruments on a track, they fit right into your mix.
In total there are 40 instruments. 20 are monophonic, like the original synthesizer, and are perfect for creating deep and heavy bass lines. The other 20 are polyphonic, which allow you to create chords and complex melodies that are impossible on the Sub Phatty itself. Each instrument has a version made with Sampler and another made with Simpler, totaling 80 presets in all.
Pretty much any genre of music calls for some quality bass instruments, and there aren’t any better places to turn than a Moog. This Ableton Live Pack will give you a wide range of sounds and the ability to transform those sounds into something new. I hope you enjoy it!
