I have a set of toy drums I keep at my desk to help punctuate important points in my lessons. They were a gift from my wife and have made work that much more fun. The text on the box is amusingly overhyped, which makes me enjoy the drums even more.

Ableton Live Drum Rack Made from Desk Drums
I sampled each of the drums and the cymbal, as well as all of the squeaks and noises the drum kit makes. I placed each sound into a cell in Ableton Live’s Drum Rack. Each drum has its own set of Macro Knobs that allow you to filter, transpose, add drive, pan, and add a repeat mode. The repeat mode allows you to hold down a note and get a time-synced repeat, great for steady high hat sounds.
Although the actual sound of the drums is kind of funny sounding, lots of cool things start happening when you pitch them down and add some of the effects. The Drum Rack has its own Reverb and Glue Compression effect returns. The Reverb will help your drums sound larger than life, while the Glue Compression Return lines up 4 Glue Compressors, all cranked with the Soft Clip feature on. This gives you an intense smashed and distorted sound.
