I've been having fun making interesting soundscapes using a new Max for Live device called Time Layer.  You can basically manipulate the duration of a sample file to the point that some interesting and atmospheric sounds start to emerge.  It's definitely worth the price tag of FREE! Get it here.

 Time Layer was created by Custom Art Tools, who also have a cool sounding granular device called Triple Perc.  I haven't tried Triple Perc, but it sounds cool.  If you've given it a whirl, let us know in the comments.
